SCOTLAND TOUR 2009
Holyrood Park - July 25 & 26
The reason for the gathering of the clans in 2009 was to honour the 250th anniversary of the birth of Robert Burns.

If you wore your Gathering Passport around your neck, you were allowed to leave the grounds for a meal at a pub/restaurant or return to the residence and use a microwave in the residence. However, there was a huge Scottish produce market (#28 on the map) where one could buy bread, rolls, fruit, meat pies, cheeses, beverages, etc. On Sunday, we decided to visit the Clan Hospitality Tent/Chieftain Tent where we had poached salmon, fresh salad and tasty soup. Elsewhere, there were long line-ups for bacon sandwiches and beverages, if you wanted to wait in the sun.
