To: Fellow Members of the Clan Ross Association of Canada, Inc.
With Valentine's Day approaching, I felt it was time that our membership could be given an easier method of receiving some important communication benefits. Three terrific links have been added to our page of
LINKS to All Things Scottish . . . and these are:
1.
The Clan Ross Forum at the Electric Scotland Community
This link will provide a direct route to our forum. You may wish to interact at topics within the forum once you establish your free membership. It is a virtual Clan Ross Canada message board by virtue of the "sticky note" about our history which has been posted at the top! You will soon discover that general members of the community may join in from time to time depending upon their interest in the topic. Your webmaster, Doug Ross, continues to act as a regular moderator of the site.
Enjoy yourself. Your membership will allow you to participate in the other forums at the ES Community as well.
2.
Clan Ross Canada at Facebook
Debra Barry became our Quebec Commissioner and established our page at Facebook shortly thereafter. Once you become a member, you may recognize other acquaintances at facebook who may signal that they wish to communicate with you online occasionally. I spent a half hour chatting with a friend from Australia who happened to be at Facebook at the same time as I was last week. Pat (your newsletter editor) and I were their guests for a couple of days when we were there in 2006.
This site is also as highly interactive as your time and interest allows . . . as the example illustrates. It is similar to the ES Community Forum in that you can edit your profile; just remember that these are public.
3.
Clan Ross Canada at You Tube
Andy Thibodeau, our president of Clan Ross Canada, has posted five superb videos which he took at the Fergus Scottish Festival and Highland Games in 2010 on the occasion of our celebration of the 50th Anniversary of our founding. Click the "See All" button beneath the illustrated uploads indicating that there are 5 uploads altogether.
This website is not interactive, and you need not join unless you intend to post your own videos.
LOCATION OF OUR PAGE OF LINKS:
There is a LINKS button in the menu of
my personal website, or you can locate the "Links to all Things Scottish" by scrolling down the menu on page 7 of
our website for Clan Ross Canada.
