CRUISE 2000
ABOARD THE EMPIRE SANDY

This was the ninth Annual Scottish Sailing Cruise organized by the Scottish Studies Society. Two cruises are arranged with the Empire Sandy for the Sunday before Labour Day. We arranged to board the 2:00 PM cruise just as the CNE Airshow ended. [See the Calendar of Events for details about the cruise for the current year.]

Cruise 2000 celebrated the Ship Hector aboard the three-masted schooner the "Empire Sandy", Canada's largest sailing ship on September 3, 2000. The CNE airshow was abbreviated due to low clouds, but the cruise was enjoyed by all as the sky cleared to allow the sunshine to come through frequently.
