OFF TO WORK AT STORAGE CONTAINER UNSCREWING METRE-LONG BOLTS

Many of these pictures were taken as the International Space Station travelled past Northern Australia on the way to the continent of Africa on the morning of April 21, 2001. [The SPDM (Special Purpose Dextrous Manipulator), popularly known as the "CanadaHand" is being constructed at Brampton, Ontario, for the year 2003. With senses of touch and sight, it will carry out the maintenance currently done during Extra-Vehicular Activities by astronauts.]
