Progeny of the Murdoch Ross family (who left the Isle of Skye for Cape Breton in 1828) spread out across Canada. Murdoch's grandson Jeptha (Jep) Ross (1867-1959) and his wife Christina moved to Alberta in 1910. They had six children: Francis (b. 1902), Hugh (b. 1904), Philip (b. 1909), Curtis (b. 1914), Eleanor (b. 1917) and Carl (b. 1922). Hugh remained on the family farm in Bow Island. Francis and Carl moved to the west coast of BC. Curtis moved to Edmonton. Eleanor settled in Saskatoon.

Anyone knowing any of their descendants living in the USA are asked to contact Paula Ross Reynolds at preynolds@coopresources.net

My maternal grandfather was W.D.Ross, Lieutenant-Governor of Ontario from 1927 to 1932. His family tree goes back many generations in Pictou County, Little Bras d'Or, Cape Breton and New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. I would welcome any information about the children of W.D.Ross's sister Mary [Heshams who moved to the USA --- and Roberta who possibly moved to Vancouver, B.C.]
