Albert Charles Ross b. c1860 Kempville, ON. In Canadian army in WWI d. Shorncliff, ENG in flu epidemic. He married Mary Ann Srigley (b. 30 Dec. 1867) about 1887 Wingham ON. They lived Winnipeg, MB, with issue: Violet, Susie, David, Albert, Lottie, Lauretta, Grace, Ethel, Gladys, Earl Wesley (b. 22 Feb. 1902) and Victoria.

Great-great-grandfather Alexander Ross came to Canada from Nigg by way of Cromarty in 1832-36. With wife and eight children, he arrived at the Canada Company's Huron Tract in 1836, settling near Brucefield, ON.

Nova Scotia Commissioner (Mainland) Greg Ross would be interested in corresponding with any descendants of a Dr. William Ross, minister of a large Presbyterian Church in Winnipeg during the 30's and 40's. Dr. Ross used to correspond with Greg's father (deceased 1956) and was an uncle to Greg's grandfather Evan Ross of Halifax.
