The Farm Manager's House
Pat was interested in the natural dyes used on the wool. This room in the home of the farm manager displays the tools used by his wife in weaving items. Outside, there is a garden for growing many of the plants used in the dyeing process. Dyeing pots and drying racks were displayed in the yard. The Fort boasted the most successful farming operation in the Red River Settlement. [This particular frame house was moved from Kildonan to this site in 1970.]
