Later, Doug Ross supported Wendy Ross when a lady surnamed Lockhart claimed a connection with the Ross Clan. The so-called Lockhart-Rosses may have received title to Balnagowan Castle, but merely adopting the name of Ross does not make one a member of the clan. The "coat of arms" is also his private property, even though the current owner of Balnagowan Castle (Mohamed al Fayed) has spent millions on its restoration and upkeep.
